Update: "Between the Folds" is now also available on Netflix.
If you're interested in origami, you might have heard about the film "Between the Folds". I have heard several enthusiastic reports about it, not just by origami enthusiasts, but also those without prior exposure to origami. The film was even honoured with the Peabody Award 2010.
Now here's the exciting news: today I received a message that the film is currently streaming online. That means you can watch the film for free, and experience the exhilarating beauty and wonder documented. It's currently being streamed on http://video.pbs.org....
As I hadn't seen it yet, I immediately had to watch it. An extraordinary film, really really well done. I highly recommend watching it. I'm not sure for how long it will be streamed, so if you want to view it for free, sooner is better. This means: take an hour's worth of time and enjoy this superb documentary on art and science, and how origami and its artists and designers blend in. And if you really liked the film, why not send a small donation or buy the film. It's even available on Amazon, if that suits you better.
So, enjoy the film, let yourself be inspired by it just as much as I was.

What!
What a coincidence...! I saw Between the Folds (great!) just last weekend, and it reinvigorated my too-long-dormant interest in origami. So I went wandering around the internet looking for origami sites, and happened upon yours! I've got Eric Gjerde's book on order and started on the Water Bomb tessellation (16x16), based on your tutorial, just last night!

A great film
Between the Folds is fantastic. I loved the interviews and demonstrations with the various superstars of the origami world; Eric Josiel and Chris Palmer were particularly interesting.
That Flower Tower variation by Palmer was AMAZING.

I'm not aware of a a place, sorry. When I posted this, you could indeed watch it for free online. However, it was just a short feature period when that was possible.
It is definitely a film worth watching, it's beautifully done and very inspiring.
