Model type:
Stars
Triangle Grid
Paper ratio:
Hexagon
Today, I cut two hexagons from the same patterned paper (kaleidoscopic paper by Julia Schönhuber), but at different angles. The pattern I used is called "Sommer 2".
I then folded the same model from the two hexagons. Look at the difference in appearance!

Amazing effect
Thats is really cool to see the two different stars coming from the same paper. I tried to understand how you cut the paper, but I am not sure how you did it. Can you give some information in the two different cuts? Thanks!

Lucky you!
Actually, I also recorded a video on how to cut Julia's paper yesterday, so you'll soon have a tutorial that should answer your question. :)
It also shows the two hexagons that I used for these models, so if you watch that part of the video closely, you should be able to cut a hexagon almost exactly as I did for these two models.
