A diagonal fold is usually a fold that runs in a 45° angle. It can also denote a fold that connects two opposite corners of a rectangle, thus creating a crease that runs along the diagonal of the rectangle. Finally, the term diagonal fold is sometimes used to simply indicate that a crease runs in an angle that is not a multiple of 90°.
