Paper:
5 squares with a side length of 5.25 cm, printer paper
5 squares with a side length of 7 cm, printer paper
5 squares with a side length of 9.9 cm, printer paper
Model: diameter of 9 cm, height of 10.8 cm
I cut the squares from two sheets of A4 paper.
For the largest squares, I folded a sheet into thirds, dividing the long side, then cut 6 squares from it (29.7 cm / 3 = 9.9 cm). This leaves just a small strip to discard.
I used a second sheet for the other square. For the middle layer, I divided the short side into thirds, not creating the crease all the way, again easily providing 6 squares (21.0 cm / 3 = 7 cm).
There was plenty of paper left from the second sheet, which I quartered along the short side to cut the smallest squares (21.0 cm / 4 = 5.25 cm).
