I was excited to do this model but when you got to the narrowing of the legs I had so much difficulty following. I spent a long time trying - kept replaying - but it just wasn't shown clearly enough for me. Very frustrating. I felt that the level was much more difficult than 'low intermediate', which I can generally do with ease.
I love your videos tho and have had many other successes. Looking forward to the next one!

Hi Sara
Thank you for the great video of Steven Casey's labrador retriever. I've enjoyed folding this many times from the diagram in the book Everything Origami. I change the shape of the ears a little (more triangular and less hound like). I bring the tail down in a rocker shape and wet fold the hind quarters for more definition -just for fun. Your video took some of the mystery out of the little triangular fold forming the front legs. My husband trains our labrador with the Bitterroot Valley Retriever Club here in Florence, Montana. They have asked me to make a model to be raffled off as a fund raiser for the club. My plan is to display it in a frame with a label on the back stating " model designed by Steven Casey" and donate it to the club. For copyright purposes, do I need his permission? I can't seem to find any contact information for him. I'm sorry to bother you but would you be able to pass this enquiry on to him or have further suggestions? Thank you for your time ,

Thanks for passing the comment on from Carol. I'm glad my design can do some good, by being raffled to raise money for the Bitterroot Valley Retriever club. Makes me feel good. And it's nice to be acknowledged as the designer. I have no issues with copyright in this instance.

i went online to find instructions since the book everything origami was confusing me but i ended up being harder super sad any tips to help me out

If the book is a bit too challenging right now, try folding some easier models to hone your skills and then come back to it later. This is what I've done many times in the past, and it's always been so rewarding to see how I progressed, finally managing to master the complex folds that were too difficult for me before.

Hi I couldn’t do this lovely dog without the reverse instructions. Couldn’t get my brain in gear. So when I’ve folded for one leg couldn’t do for the other because instructions were do it in reverse. Frustrating because I really wanted to do this.
