Leyla Torres, origami designer and video instructor, asked for compositions of her models all around the theme of "Day of the Dead" in this video: https://www.youtube....
Here's what I came up with. It was the perfect use for some of my "scraps" of Elephant Hide from other projects. Never throw away what's left when cutting those hexagons or squares from rectangles.
Paper:
Sugar skulls: Deluxe Washi, squares with a side length of 20cm (7 7/8 in), 12cm (4 3/4 in), 8cm (3 1/8 in)
Flowers "Spanish Eye" and Leaves: Elephant Hide colored with acrylic paint, squares with a side length of 6.5cm (2 1/2 in), 4cm (1.6 in)
Bow Ties: Elephant Hide colored with acrylic paint, rectangles 5.5cm by 2.75cm (2.16 in by 1.08 in), 4cm by 2cm (1.6 in by 0.8 in)
